Brisbane, Queensland
Initially developed at the turn of the 20th century, today Play Therapy refers to a range of treatment methods, all related to the therapeutic benefits of play.
Play Therapy is the least intrusive form of counselling for children, helps
them to address and resolve their own problems building on the natural way
children learn about themselves and the world around them. Thus it is to
children what counselling is to adults. While it is
relatively new to Australia, it is a tried and proven method in many other
countries.
Welcome Invitation
The 2007 conference really does not seem that long ago. It’s not really that long until we will all be booking flights and getting organised for this conference. Please be sure to book early this year as we know that with the speakers we have lined up you will not want to miss out.
It’s really hard to believe what this conference has to offer those of us interested in Play Therapy. To me it's a bit of a dream come true. I have dreamed of having speakers of this nature present here in Australia for a very long time.
Brisbane, Australia is looking like the perfect place to take Play Therapy to that next level in the Austral/Asia Pacific region. I really encourage any one keen to further their play therapy development or even those who are just at the beginning of their play therapy path to consider this conference.
The qualifications and skills of Dr Garry Landreth and Dr Virginia Ryan really speak for themselves. You only have to ‘google’ them to know that you will be in awe.
So we have a great setting at the Mecure Hotel on the Banks of the Brisbane River, we have the great speakers, now all we need is You. Be sure to bring along your keen interest, your fun attitude and your inner child!
