It’s been a long 54 hours of Sydney Startup Weekend but finally we did our pitch! Didn’t win, sadfaced but was an awesome experience. We got so much done in that time and the best thing is we have a startup!
Will and I have decided to take the idea fourth and conquer! We’re convinced, during the weekend we even set up a stall at a Wedding expo to Validate our ideas from both customers ( People getting married & Wedding suppliers ). We got 62 people signed up to use the service to plan their wedding and 29 vendors wanting to pay us to use the service!
We also got some media coverage! Not bad for a weekend! (with link as well woot woot!)
Next steps is to get funding! As they say, no money, no honey. I’ve been in the startup space long enough to know what works and what not and bootstrapping is F*$!@ hard! So we’ll be refining our pitch and adding in more research to raise first round capital.
